BARB WIRE

YEAR: 2025

ROLES: CREATIVE DIRECTOR + WARDROBE STYLIST + SET DIRECTION + MOVEMENT DIRECTION + POST PRODUCTION + SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT

Overview

Inspired by “Barb Wire”, one of my favorite films, this fashion editorial pays tribute to Pamela Anderson’s iconic portrayal of Barbara and the bold world surrounding her character. The concept captures the film’s attitude, sexiness, rebellion, and action-driven energy through fashion, transforming the editorial into a cinematic tribute designed to feel like a promotional poster for the film.

DIrection

I developed the creative concept by translating Barbara’s signature look and attitude into a fashion editorial, using wardrobe, posing, props, and graphic design to make the character immediately recognizable. For the styling, I pulled from her iconic all black uniform, incorporating a corseted silhouette, fitted pants, leather gloves, boots, and platinum blonde hair to capture the toughness and sex appeal associated with the character. The motorcycle and prop details further grounded the styling within the world of Barb Wire.

I carried the concept into post production by developing and directing the graphic assets for the final shots. I wanted the finished work to feel like promotional posters for the film rather than traditional editorial photographs, so I incorporated the Barb Wire inspired title treatment, character billing, taglines, credits, and movie poster typography into the compositions. Each graphic element was intentionally placed to strengthen the cinematic storytelling and complete the illusion that these were posters from my own version of the film.
