Overview

“Supernova” is a promotional editorial created for the launch of Kgirl Kurated, centered on the idea of being my own muse. As both the creative behind the concept and the subject in front of the camera, the project represents the experimentation and self expression at the heart of my work. Set within a futuristic, cyber inspired world, Supernova introduces Kgirl Kurated through my own creative identity, reflecting the idea that sometimes inspiration begins with yourself.

DIrection

I developed the concept around transforming myself into the muse, using futuristic styling, silver hair, exaggerated textures, and cyber inspired details to create a character that felt bold and almost extraterrestrial. I intentionally contrasted the look against a stark, grid like environment, allowing the fashion and character to become the focal point of the space.

Because Supernova was created as part of the Kgirl Kurated launch campaign, I extended the concept into the graphic direction by designing and adding the “Kgirl” and “Kurated” assets to the final shots. Separating the brand name across the two compositions created a visual progression between the images while directly connecting the editorial back to the launch. Every element was designed to introduce Kgirl Kurated through the perspective that defines the brand: individuality, experimentation, and the freedom to become your own source of inspiration.
